Why, hello there!

It's been quite some time since the last time I updated this blog.  Much has happened since then.

I started working part time.  I've been looking for work for quite some time, but unfortunately, the hours I desire do not coincide with the hours most employers would like.  Because my two are so active after school, I needed something that would allow me to be home once they arrived home from school.  But that wasn't even the most of it.  Because both Lil Diva and Lil Man were in the market for an agent, a part time job would have to give me the flexibility to call out or leave early if need be.  I know, that is a lot to ask from a part time employee.  I didn't give up hope though.

My friend, who happens to know exactly how busy I am, called me one afternoon and asked me if I was still looking for a part time position.  I instantly lit up.  Yes, I am!  She explained to her husband my situation and the hours I am willing to work and he said he would give me a try.  I would work 5 hours a day, three days a week, and be home in time for my two.  The best part would be, if my two are called into NYC, I have the flexibility to switch my days.  It's been almost a year and things have been working out wonderfully.

My two have also secured representation as well.  We have been on several auditions.  Each time we learn a little more.  Naturally, we know it takes some time (some actors state it takes going on about 50 auditions to book a job), but we are enjoying the process and the learning experience.  

In the meantime, both of them have been keeping busy with local theater productions.  Lil Man just completed a run of Peter Pan, in which he was able to "fly" as one of the Darling children.  Lil Diva is looking forward to her show opening this week where she will demonstrate what a great dancer she is.

Busy bees.... they wouldn't have it any other way!
